成人视频色情片 Leads with Strength, Support and Solidarity Amid War
As Israel confronts a new and dangerous phase of conflict with Iran, 成人视频色情片 is rallying its resources to serve not only its own students and faculty, but the wider Jewish community鈥攁cross Israel, America and the diaspora.
鈥淲e are living in a historic moment of opportunity for Israel, the Middle East and the world,鈥 said Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of 成人视频色情片. 鈥淎t the flagship Jewish university, we are working on the dual fronts of both caring for the safety of our brothers and sisters, students and community members who are in Israel, as well as advocating and educating our students to be ambassadors for Israel and our values in the halls of power in the United States and throughout the world.鈥
In Israel, the University鈥檚 Jerusalem Therapy Center (JTC) remains fully operational, offering mental health counseling and emotional support to gap-year students and English-speaking residents facing anxiety, trauma and uncertainty. The JTC team continues to meet a growing number of requests from new and existing clients, helping those affected navigate the emotional impact of the war. (The center can be reached at office@jtc.org.il.)
To assist in the war effort, we are readying our Jerusalem campus to host an IDF unit in response to the army鈥檚 request for a central base.
YU has also taken steps to assist students and community members affected by disrupted travel. From securing safe housing for stranded seminary and yeshiva students to tracking exit options via Cyprus, the University has stayed in close contact with Israeli authorities, schools and families to help coordinate logistics and provide reassurance.
YU鈥檚 New York-based Counseling Center is likewise offering virtual support sessions, ensuring that students, faculty and members of the broader community in the U.S. have a place to turn for guidance and solidarity.
At the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Dean Leslie Halpern and Dr. Bill Salton, Director of the Parnes Clinic, have each led dedicated support groups for faculty and staff, offering a space for open conversation and shared reflection. Additional sessions may be scheduled based on community need. Faculty advisors have also reached out to Ferkauf鈥檚 Jewish Students affinity group to offer support as they navigate the emotional weight of the ongoing conflict.
At the heart of the University鈥檚 response is a spirit of community care and resilience. Across Israel and the U.S., members of the YU community are stepping up to help in meaningful, hands-on ways. YU alumni hosted a group of eighth-grade students from San Diego鈥攕tranded by travel disruptions鈥攆or a cupcake-making event. And in yeshivot and seminaries still operating in Israel, students are keeping morale high with activities like basketball games, baking projects, and car washes鈥攁ll grounded in structure, compassion, and care.
Through its academic centers, YU is providing thought leadership at a time when understanding and moral clarity are urgently needed. On June 18, Dr. Erica Brown鈥擵ice Provost for Values and Leadership of YU鈥檚 Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks-Herenstein Center鈥攈osted a special online briefing with Dr. Matthew Levitt, a YU graduate and Director of the Program on Counter Terrorism and Intelligence at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Their conversation explored the roots of the Iran-Israel conflict and emphasized Israel鈥檚 right鈥攁nd necessity鈥攖o act decisively in defense of its people. 鈥淲hat we鈥檙e seeing is a new Israeli security doctrine,鈥 Levitt said. 鈥淎fter Oct. 7, the country is no longer willing to hope for the best while its enemies arm for the worst.鈥
YU is also taking steps to help students鈥攂oth enrolled and prospective鈥攃ontinue their growth amid disruption. YU Global is working to launch a free online course in AI fundamentals for students in the S. Daniel Abraham Israel Program, helping them stay engaged academically while abroad. Leaders are also exploring ways to assist students affected by summer program cancellations, including potential internship placements and enrichment opportunities, depending on how the situation develops.
鈥淭his is a moment for unity and responsibility,鈥 Rabbi Berman said. 鈥湷扇耸悠瞪槠 stands shoulder to shoulder with Israel, and with every member of our extended Jewish family. Rooted in our core Torah values, we will continue to educate, support and lead on behalf of Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael.鈥
